We are farmers and foragers by the fjords of Hitra.
We are guardians of the heather hills, the grasslands and Mount Einvik.
We are humans, hens, ducks, cats, honeybees and wild animals.
We are plants, microorganisms, fungi, snow, rain and winds.
We are Fjordbruket.

how it started
The first settlers came to the islands around 11 000 years ago.
The farm was built in 1880.
Anne bought the farm in 2022, after finishing her studies in Plant sciences at NMBU, with a dream of tending to a little ecosystem.
She knew she could never run a farm on her own, so she got help from friends, family and people from all around the world. Some staying for a day, others for months.
In 2023, Lulu came to visit, when she was doing an internship in Grindal. Anne and Lulu fell in love, and Lulu moved in with her new kitten, Lille Anders.
