Our journey
-
The first settlers came to the island.
-
The farm buildings were built.
-
Anne bought the farm in May and moved there alone in August. The house got a new chimney and fireplace, semi-functioning electricity and a new (but old) kitchen. The amazing cat, Sondre, moved in.
-
Anne invited friends and strangers to help out. Together we made a garden, a community and a home.
Marit and Adrian moved in and we welcomed our first wwoofers. Over a hundred people visited the farm the first year - including the beautiful Lulu, and her cat, Lille Anders, who are still here.
-
Anne and Adrian got accompanied by Mari.
We made the second garden.
Lulu finished her studies at Kalø landbrugsskole and officially moved to the farm.
The first herbal tea blends were made.
-
Anne and Lulu kicked everyone out (hehe, not really), and we finally had the house to ourselves. The house’s interior got some upgrades.
Our friends, Marit and Sondre, bought the farm next door (!!!!!!!) and The Juniper Bay Collective was born. Dream. Come. True.

We are farmers and foragers by the fjords of Hitra.
We are guardians of the heather hills, the grasslands and Mount Einvik.
We are humans, hens, ducks, cats, honeybees and wild animals.
We are plants, microorganisms, fungi, snow, rain and winds.
We are Fjordbruket.
