The farm is located on Fjellværsøya, Hitra. It is a two hour drive from Trondheim, and it’s possible to reach by bus and boat.
-
We see ‘volunteering’ as a cultural exchange, where we share our knowledge and give you food and a place to sleep, while you help out for 25 hours a week.
We are looking for reliable and open-minded people to become a part of our farm team. We are open to all kinds of people (who are not afraid of putting their hands in the soil).
-
We would like volunteers who can stay for more than 3 weeks. In the application you can cross off the periods you are available for, or you can suggest other times if none of the options work for you.
-
There’s cats, chickens and ducks living at the farm, in addition to wild animals. To keep the peace, we ask you not to bring your four-legged friends to the farm.
-
If you want to volunteer with someone, write their name in the form. Each person should still fill out their own form, so we can get to know you all.
-
Only time can tell… We are currently looking for volunteers for the 2025 season, and do not have the capacity to think too far in the future. If you want to volunteer in the future, you can follow us on social media @fjordbruket and we will publish information on new opportunities to volunteer.
-
Sometimes we invite people to visit the farm for shorter visits, like garden tours, concerts or community events. Follow us on social media @fjordbruket to stay updated on future events.
